Who Should Not Take Symlin?

You should not take Symlin if you:
 
  • Are allergic to Symlin, pramlintide, or any inactive component used to make Symlin. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
     
  • Have diabetic gastroparesis.
     
  • Have hypoglycemic unawareness.
