Precautions and Warnings With Sitagliptin/Simvastatin

Who Should Not Take Sitagliptin/Simvastatin?

You should not take sitagliptin/simvastatin if you:
 
  • Are allergic to it, Juvisync, or any of the inactive components used in making the drug. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
 
  • Have active liver disease or unexplained high liver enzymes.
 
  • Are taking any of the following medications:

 

 
 
    • Itraconazole (Sporanox®)
    • Ketoconazole (Nizoral®)
    • Nefazodone (Serzone®)
    • Posaconazole (Noxafil®)
    • Telaprevir (Incivek™) 
    • Telithromycin (Ketek®).
 
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
