Who Should Not Take PrandiMet?

You should not take PrandiMet if you:
 
  • Are allergic to PrandiMet, repaglinide, metformin hydrochloride, or any of the inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
     
  • Have kidney disease, including kidney failure (renal failure).
     
  • Have metabolic or diabetic ketoacidosis (a life-threatening condition that may occur with uncontrolled diabetes). These conditions need to be treated with insulin.
