PrandiMet for Diabetes Treatment

The main goal of any diabetes treatment is to lower your blood sugar levels enough to reduce your risk for developing problems related to diabetes (see Diabetes Complications). Any type 2 diabetes treatment begins with lifestyle changes (weight loss, a diabetic diet, and exercise). If lifestyle changes alone are not effective at managing diabetes, it may be necessary to use certain diabetes medications, such as PrandiMet.

PrandiMet Use in Children

PrandiMet is not approved for use in children. Talk with your healthcare provider about the benefits and risks of using PrandiMet in children.
 

Off-Label PrandiMet Uses

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend PrandiMet for something other than type 2 diabetes. At this time, there are no universally accepted off-label PrandiMet uses.
