As with any medication, it is possible to develop side effects while taking NovoLog® (insulin aspart). Side effects that have been reported in clinical studies include low blood potassium, skin thickening or pitting at the injection site, and skin reaction at the injection site. Some NovoLog side effects are potentially serious and should be reported to your healthcare provider immediately, including an allergic reaction or low blood sugar levels. Symptoms of low blood sugar may include loss of coordination, sweating, and blurry vision.
