NovoLog Mix 50/50

What If I Take an Overdose?

People who take too much of any type of insulin may experience symptoms such as:
 
  • Low blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia)
  • Fainting
  • Shakiness
  • A fast heartbeat (tachycardia)
  • Confusion
  • Sweating
  • Seizures
  • Coma
  • Loss of life.

Storage Information for NovoLog Mix 50/50

Unopened PenFill cartridges and FlexPens should be stored in the refrigerator. Once you start using a PenFill cartridge or FlexPen, you must not keep it in the refrigerator (it must be kept at room temperature). A FlexPen or PenFill Cartridge is good for 14 days after you first use it.
 

Strengths

NovoLog Mix 50/50 is available in the following forms:
 
  • NovoLog Mix 50/50 FlexPen -- 3 mL, with 100 units of insulin per mL (50 percent insulin aspart protamine and 50 percent insulin aspart)
  • NovoLog Mix 50/50 PenFill cartridges -- 3 mL, with 100 units of insulin per mL (50 percent insulin aspart protamine and 50 percent insulin aspart).
     
The PenFill cartridges are meant for use in certain refillable pen devices. The FlexPen comes with insulin already inside and is not refillable.
