Metanx Ingredients

As a prescription vitamin, Metanx® is used to supplement the diet in people with symptoms of diabetic peripheral neuropathy or people with abnormally high levels of homocysteine in the blood. It is considered a "medical food," rather than a prescription medicine. Medical foods are products that are made to help manage certain medical conditions with specific dietary needs.
 
This combination vitamin comes in one form and strength: Metanx 3-35-2 mg tablets. The ingredients in each Metanx tablet include:
 
  • 3 mg of L-methylfolate (a form of folic acid)
  • 35 mg of pyridoxal 5'-phosphate (a form of vitamin B6)
  • 2 mg of methylcobalamin (a form of vitamin B12).
