This procedure is usually performed on an outpatient basis, meaning that you go home the day of surgery. For your particular situation, you will be given specific instructions as to where and when to arrive at the medical facility, how to prepare for your surgery and what to expect the day of and the days following your surgery.
Your healthcare provider will instruct you on eating or drinking anything prior to the surgery. You should not wear any make-up in the eye area. Also, do not wear any perfume or cologne. You may arrive in the operating suite in normal comfortable street clothes.
You will not be able to drive home following this procedure. So, be sure to arrange for someone to drive you home.
