Who Should Not Use Bydureon?

You should not use Bydureon if you:
 
  • Are allergic to it, Byetta, exenatide, or any of the inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
 
  • Have had medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or have a family history of MTC.
 
  • Have multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (a condition that causes various tumors, including thyroid tumors).
 

Final Thoughts

There are a number of situations in which Bydureon should not be used, along with several warnings and precautions people should be aware of before receiving it.
