Losarten

Were you looking for information about
Losartan? Losarten is a common misspelling of losartan.

If you have certain health conditions involving the heart or blood vessels, a healthcare provider may prescribe losartan potassium (Cozaar®). This medication is a type of angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), and it works by decreasing the effectiveness of a certain chemical in the body, allowing the blood vessels to relax. As a result, losartan can help to treat conditions such as diabetic nephropathy and high blood pressure. Before your healthcare provider prescribes this drug, he or she will consider several factors, including other medical conditions you have and other medications you may be taking (including vitamins and supplements).
