Serious Levemir Side Effects: Warning Signs

Some side effects with Levemir are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. Some of the warning signs of these serious side effects include:
 
  • Symptoms of low blood sugar, such as:
 
    • Sweating
    • Shakiness
    • Extreme hunger
    • Dizziness
    • Cold sweats
    • Blurry vision
    • Changes in behavior, such as irritability
    • Loss of coordination
    • Difficulty speaking
    • Confusion
    • Seizures
    • Unconsciousness
 
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:
 
    • An unexplained rash
    • Hives
    • Itching
    • Swelling of the mouth or throat
    • Wheezing
    • Difficulty breathing.
