Kazano® (alogliptin and metformin) is a medication approved to treat type 2 diabetes in adults. The medication comes as a tablet that is taken twice daily. As a combination medication, Kazano works by increasing insulin production and decreasing the amount of sugar produced by the liver. Although most people tolerate it well, side effects are possible and include diarrhea, headaches, and a sore throat.
