Januvia® (sitagliptin) is a medication that can help to lower blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes by increasing the production of insulin in response to meals and by decreasing the amount of sugar produced by the liver. Before taking Januvia, be sure to tell your healthcare provider if you have kidney problems or any allergies. There is no generic Januvia licensed for sale in the United States.
