Januvia Oral

Januvia® (sitagliptin) is a prescription medicine that helps control blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. It comes in the form of an oral tablet that can be taken with or without food. Januvia is taken once a day; it should be taken at the same time each day to maintain an even level in the body.

Although the medicine is generally well tolerated, side effects can occur. For example, some people may experience a headache or upper respiratory tract infection (such as the common cold). If you have kidney problems, a history of pancreatitis, or any allergies, let your healthcare provider know before starting treatment with Januvia.
