Januvia 50 mg

For most adults with type 2 diabetes, the recommended dosage of Januvia® (sitagliptin) is 100 mg once a day. However, because the medication is cleared from the body by the kidneys, people with kidney problems will need lower doses. In cases where the 100-mg dosage is too high, a healthcare provider may recommend a lower dose of 25 or 50 mg of Januvia per day.
Other factors that your healthcare provider will consider when recommending a dose include:
  • Other medications you are taking
  • How well your diabetes is controlled
  • Other medical conditions you may have.
