Side Effects of Janumet XR 100/1000

Janumet® XR (sitagliptin and metformin extended-release) is a medicine prescribed to treat type 2 diabetes in adults. It comes as a tablet that is taken once daily, and is available in several strengths, including:
 
  • Janumet XR 50/500 mg
  • Janumet XR 50/1000 mg
  • Janumet XR 100/1000 mg.
 
Side effects are possible with this product, and may include diarrhea, headaches, and nausea. While reactions are generally minor and easy to treat, contact your healthcare provider immediately if you develop potentially serious problems, such as unusual muscle pain, blurry vision, or confusion.
