You should not take Invokana if you:
 
  • Are allergic to Invokana, canagliflozin, or any of the inactive components used to make the medicine. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
 
  • Have severe kidney impairment (defined as an eGFR less than 30 mL/min/1.73 m2), are on kidney dialysis, or have end-stage kidney failure.
