Invokana Medication

Available by prescription only, Invokana® (canagliflozin) is a drug approved to treat type 2 diabetes in adults. It comes as a tablet that is taken once a day, shortly before your first meal of the day.
 
Although most people tolerate this medicine well, it is not suitable for everyone. Before starting treatment with Invokana, your healthcare provider will need information on all other medications you are taking and will examine your medical history. People who have problems with their kidneys, low blood pressure, or high blood potassium levels may not be able to safely use this drug. Side effects may include increased urination, bladder infections, and yeast infections.
