Invokana Dosing

Invokana® (canagliflozin) is a medicine prescribed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes in adults. Available in the form of tablets, Invokana is available in two strengths (100 mg and 300 mg). The tablets are usually taken once daily. Your dose should be taken shortly before your first meal of the day, as the medicine is designed to decrease blood sugar levels after meals.
Your specific dosing guidelines for Invokana will depend on how well your blood sugar levels are controlled, other medications you are taking, and various other factors. The recommended starting dosage is usually 100 mg once daily. If necessary (and if your kidney function is adequate), your healthcare provider can increase the dose to 300 mg once daily.
