Insulin Aspart Protamine/Insulin Aspart

How Should Insulin Aspart Protamine/Insulin Aspart Be Stored?

Unopened insulin aspart protamine/insulin aspart vials, cartridges, and FlexPens should be stored in the refrigerator. It is best to keep the vials refrigerated once they are opened, although they may be kept at room temperature (less than 86 degrees Fahrenheit). Either way, the vial is good for 28 days once you open it. Once you start using an insulin aspart protamine/insulin aspart FlexPen or cartridge, you must not keep it in the refrigerator (it must be kept at room temperature). The FlexPens and cartridges are good for 14 days after you first use them.
