Humulin 50/50

What If I Take an Overdose?

People who take too much of any type of insulin may experience symptoms such as:
 
  • Shakiness
  • A fast heartbeat (tachycardia)
  • Confusion
  • Low blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia)
  • Fainting
  • Sweating
  • Seizures
  • Coma
  • Loss of life.

Storage Information

Unopened vials should be kept in the refrigerator. Opened vials are good for 28 days, either at room temperature or under refrigeration.
 

Strengths of Humulin 50/50

Humulin 50/50 is only available in one strength, Humulin 50/50 vials -- 10 mL, with 100 units of insulin per mL (50 percent NPH insulin and 50 percent regular insulin).
 

Generic Humulin 50/50

Currently, this medication is not available in generic form (see Generic Humulin 50/50).
