As with any medication, there are potential side effects with Glucovance® (glyburide and metformin), including diarrhea, low blood sugar, and upper respiratory tract infections. Most people, however, tolerate the medication well. In many cases, Glucovance side effects are minor and may easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider. However, there are some more serious side effects that you should report to your healthcare provider, such as symptoms of low or high blood sugar, signs of lactic acidosis, or chest pain.
