People who take too much Glucovance may have symptoms that include:
- Lactic acidosis, due to the metformin in Glucovance (see Metformin and Lactic Acidosis)
- Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) (see Glucovance and Hypoglycemia)
- Feeling tired or fainting
- Muscle pain
- Trouble breathing
- Abdominal pain (or stomach pain)
- Feeling cold
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Changes in heart rate or heart rhythm
- Shakiness
- Confusion
- Sweating.
If you happen to overdose on Glucovance, seek medical attention immediately.
Glucovance Storage Methods
Glucovance should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture or heat. Glucovance tablets should be kept in an airtight container.
Keep Glucovance and all other medications out of the reach of children.
Glucovance: What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?
If you do not take your Glucovance as scheduled, take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose of Glucovance.
Glucovance tablets are available in three strengths:
- Glucovance 1.25 mg/250 mg tablets -- containing 1.25 mg of glyburide and 250 mg of metformin
- Glucovance 2.5 mg/500 mg tablets -- containing 2.5 mg of glyburide and 500 mg of metformin
- Glucovance 5 mg/500 mg tablets -- containing 5 mg of glyburide and 500 mg of metformin.
