How Should Fortamet Be Stored?

Fortamet should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture or heat. The tablets should be kept in an airtight container.
 
Keep Fortamet and all medications out of the reach of children.
 

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?

If you do not take your Fortamet as scheduled, take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.
 

Strengths

Fortamet tablets are available in two strengths:
 
  • Fortamet 500 mg tablets
  • Fortamet 1000 mg tablets.
     

Generic Fortamet

Generic Fortamet is not available at this time. However, generic Glucophage XR (which is similar but not equivalent to Fortamet) is available.
