Duetact Warnings and Precautions

Who Should Not Take Duetact?

You should not take Duetact if you:
 
  • Are allergic to Duetact, pioglitazone hydrochloride (Actos®), glimepiride (Amaryl®), or any inactive component used to make Duetact. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
     
  • Have diabetic ketoacidosis (a life-threatening condition that may occur with uncontrolled diabetes). This condition needs to be treated with insulin.
