Sitagliptin/Simvastatin Drug Information

A healthcare provider may recommend sitagliptin/simvastatin (Juvisync^®) to help lower cholesterol and control blood sugar levels in people who have high cholesterol and type 2 diabetes. This medicine is available by prescription only and is approved for use in adults. It comes as a tablet that is taken every evening.

 

Although most people tolerate it well, sitagliptin/simvastatin can cause potentially serious side effects. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you are taking this drug and develop unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness, especially if you also have a fever or a feeling of illness.
