Oseni Medication Information

Oseni® (alogliptin and pioglitazone) is a medication approved for the treatment of type 2 diabetes in adults. This drug contains two different diabetes medications, and works to control blood sugar levels by reducing the amount of sugar made by the liver and increasing the production of insulin in response to meals.

Oseni helps to lower blood sugar levels enough to reduce your risk for developing problems related to diabetes, such as heart, nerve, eye, or kidney problems. The dosing information calls for taking this medication once daily, ideally at the same time each day to maintain an even level in your bloodstream.

Although most people tolerate Oseni well, it is possible to develop side effects. Some of the most common reactions include back pain, a runny nose, and upper respiratory infections.
