Micronase for Diabetes

People who have type 2 diabetes may be able to control this condition with Micronase® (glyburide). This drug comes in tablet form and is taken either once or twice a day. It works by causing the pancreas to produce more insulin and helping the body better respond to this insulin.

When taking Micronase for diabetes, it should be taken with breakfast (or the first main meal), regardless of whether you are taking it once or twice a day. This medication will not work if you stop taking it.

(Click Micronase to learn more about this diabetes drug, including possible side effects, what to do if you miss a dose, and whether a generic form is available.)
