Living With Diabetes

When you have diabetes, living a healthier lifestyle can help you feel better and keep your condition under control. Living with diabetes involves day-to-day activities like regularly checking your blood sugar, making sure to eat the right type and quantity of food, and possibly taking medication. It also involves learning as much as you can about the condition and getting your blood pressure, cholesterol, and A1c checked on a regular basis.

Doing these things can pay off several years down the road, as they help prevent the problems associated with long-term high blood sugar, such as heart disease, foot problems, and blindness.
