Humulin 70/30 Insulin Information
If you need help controlling your blood sugar, you may benefit from Humulin® 70/30 (NPH insulin/regular insulin), an injectable diabetes medication. It contains two different types of insulin (an intermediate-acting insulin and a short-acting insulin). Occasionally, healthcare providers may also recommend this drug for the treatment of gestational diabetes or other off-label uses.
If you have certain other medical conditions, such as liver or kidney disease, your healthcare provider needs to know this information when prescribing this drug. Humulin 70/30 may not be appropriate in these situations, and discussing these and other issues with your healthcare provider will help ensure a safe, effective treatment.
