Diabetes? Diabetis is a common misspelling of diabetes.

People with diabetes cannot properly convert food into energy. They do not make insulin or do not use insulin properly, which causes glucose to build up to high levels in the blood. High blood sugar levels can ultimately lead to complications with the heart, eyes, kidneys, and blood vessels. The three main types of diabetes include type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes. Treatment for these conditions may involve healthy meal plans, weight loss, exercise, and medications.
