Diabetes? Diabetas is a common misspelling of diabetes.

There are three main types of diabetes: type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and gestational diabetes. The condition, which is one of the leading causes of death and disability in the United States, occurs when the body does not make insulin (or does not use it properly) and glucose builds up in the blood. People with diabetes may often feel thirsty, experience fatigue, or have to urinate frequently. If left uncontrolled, diabetes can lead to serious health problems over time, including stroke, nerve damage, and blindness.
