Check Your Blood Sugar

Follow your doctor's recommendations for how often you should test your blood sugar. Some people will do just fine with once-a-day testing. However, others will need to test several times a day to keep blood sugar levels safe. Nobody likes to do it, and the strips are expensive, but it's one of the best ways to help keep your diabetes in check. Medicare covers quite a bit of the cost of testing supplies, but you need to be careful to follow all their rules and requirements in order for the supplies to be covered.
