DiaBeta® (glyburide) is a prescription medication that has been approved to treat type 2 diabetes. The medication works to lower blood sugar levels by helping the pancreas produce more insulin and improving the body's response to insulin. The drug comes in tablet form, and is available in three different strengths. Possible side effects of DiaBeta include allergic skin reactions, stomach problems, and low blood sugar.
