Byetta Complications

Although many people do not experience any problems while taking
 Byetta® (exenatide), this medication can still cause potential complications for some people. Some of the most common complications reported with Byetta include:
 
If any complications do occur, they tend to be minor and either require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider. However, there are some potentially serious Byetta complications that require immediate medical attention. Contact your healthcare provider if you experience serious problems such as severe diarrhea, difficulty breathing, or seizures.
 
Other Byetta warnings and precautions apply to women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, as well as people who have certain allergies (including allergies to foods, dyes, or preservatives). Also, you may not be able to take Byetta if you have medical conditions such as kidney problems or other digestive tract conditions.
