Byetta? Bayeta is a common misspelling of Byetta.

Byetta® (exenatide) is a medication approved for use in combination with certain oral diabetes medications to treat type 2 diabetes. As a type of incretin mimetic, it increases insulin production in response to meals and decreases the amount of glucose (sugar) that the liver produces. It also slows the emptying of food from the stomach, which reduces the amount of food that people eat. Although most people tolerate the medication well, it is not suitable for everyone. Possible side effects may include diarrhea, dizziness, and nausea.
