Avandaryl Side Effects

Although most people tolerate Avandaryl well, there are some potential side effects of the medication, such as headaches, low blood sugar, and fluid retention. In many cases, Avandaryl side effects are minor and may be easily treated by you or your healthcare provider. However, there are several side effects of Avandaryl that you should report immediately to your healthcare provider, including trouble breathing, a rapid increase in weight, and vision changes.

 

Avandaryl Side Effects: An Introduction

As with any medicine, there are possible side effects with Avandaryl® (rosiglitazone and glimepiride). However, not everyone who takes Avandaryl will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate the drug well. When side effects do occur, in most cases they are minor and either require no treatment or can be easily treated by you or your healthcare provider.

Common Avandaryl Side Effects

Avnadaryl has been thoroughly studied in clinical trials in which the side effects reported by a group of people taking the drug are documented and compared to another group not taking the medicine.

Also, a recent study found that up to 9.3 percent of women taking Avandia® (rosiglitazone) develop broken bones -- especially of the arms, hands, or feet. Since rosiglitazone is one of the components of Avandaryl, it is possible that women taking this drug may also be at risk for broken bones.
