Avandaryl Drug Interactions

Diuretics
Taking Avandaryl with diuretics can make Avandaryl less effective, increasing your chance of high blood sugar (hyperglycemia). You may need to be monitored more closely, and your healthcare provider may need to adjust your Avandaryl dose, especially when starting or stopping a diuretic.
 
Estrogens
Taking Avandaryl with estrogens can make Avandaryl less effective, increasing your chance of high blood sugar (hyperglycemia). You may need to be monitored more closely, and your healthcare provider may need to adjust your Avandaryl dose, especially when starting or stopping an estrogen.
 
Gemfibrozil (Lopid)
Taking Avandaryl with gemfibrozil can increase the level of Avandaryl in your blood, increasing your risk of side effects. Your healthcare provider may need to decrease your dose of Avandaryl.
 
Insulin
In studies, people taking rosiglitazone (one of the components of Avandaryl) and insulin had an increased risk of congestive heart failure (CHF) or heart attacks. In general, it is not recommended to combine Avandaryl with insulin.
 
Isoniazid
