Nausea, headache, and diarrhea are some of the more common side effects seen with Avandamet®. Side effects that are not as common and occur in less than 6 percent of patients may include fatigue, loose stools, and back pain. Avandamet side effects are generally considered minor and do not require medical attention, but you should contact your healthcare provider immediately if you develop problems such as: an allergic reaction, vision changes, trouble breathing, or chest pain.
