Who Should Not Take Amaryl?

You should not take Amaryl if you:
  • Are allergic to Amaryl, glimepiride, or any inactive component used to make Amaryl. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients used to make Amaryl.
  • Have diabetic ketoacidosis (a life-threatening condition that may occur with uncontrolled diabetes). This condition needs to be treated with insulin.
