Although many people do not experience any problems while taking
Amaryl® (
glimepiride), this medication is not free of problems. Some of the most common risks with Amaryl include:
- Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)
- Dizziness
- Weakness
- Upset stomach (nausea).
If any problems do occur, they tend to be minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. However, there are some potentially serious Amaryl risks that require immediate medical attention, such as
- Trouble breathing
- Chest pain
- Blurred vision
- Seizures.
