Actos 30 mg

A healthcare provider may prescribe 30 mg of
Actos® (pioglitazone hydrochloride) once daily to treat type 2 diabetes. However, your dosage will depend on several factors, such as:

  • How well your diabetes is controlled
  • Other medical conditions you may have
  • Other medications you are currently taking.

In general, the recommended starting dosage is 15 mg or 30 mg of Actos once daily. If necessary, your healthcare provider may increase your dosage up to 45 mg once daily to control your blood sugar levels.

Actos can be taken with or without food. If the medication upsets your stomach, try taking it with food. It is important to take your dosage at the same time each day to maintain an even level of the medication in your blood.
