Actos 15 mg Tablets
Of the three strengths of Actos® (pioglitazone hydrochloride) on the market, the 15 mg tablets are the lowest strength available. Your healthcare provider may prescribe Actos 15 mg tablets once daily to treat type 2 diabetes. However, your dosage will depend on several factors, such as:
- How well your diabetes is controlled
- Other medical conditions you may have
- Other medications you are currently taking.
The starting dose for Actos is 15 mg or 30 mg once daily. If necessary, your healthcare provider may increase your dosage up to 45 mg once daily to control your blood sugar levels.
You can take Actos with or without food. However, make sure to take your dosage at the same time each day to maintain even levels of the medicine in your blood.
