Actoplus Met Alternatives

If you do not benefit from Actoplus Met, alternatives to the medication may include certain lifestyle changes, injectable diabetes medicines, or other oral diabetes drugs. Common injectable medications include insulin, incretin mimetics, and amylin analogues. Other oral diabetes medicines include thiazolidinediones, sulfonylureas, and other combination drugs.

Are There Alternatives to Actoplus Met?

Actoplus Met® (pioglitazone and metformin) is a prescription medication used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. For most people with diabetes, the drug is effective in treating the condition, and most people tolerate it well.
