Actoplus Met 15 Mg/850 Mg Tablets
Actoplus Met® (pioglitazone and metformin) is a combination drug used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes (also called adult-onset diabetes or noninsulin-dependent diabetes). It comes in the form of tablets and is taken either once or twice a day.
Your healthcare provider will take certain factors into consideration when determining your dose, such as how well your diabetes is currently controlled and if you have any other medical conditions, such as liver, kidney, or heart disease. However, in general, the starting dose is Actoplus Met 15 mg/500 mg or Actoplus Met 15 mg/850 mg tablets.
If you find the medication is not working as well as you had hoped, this dose can be increased, but it must be done gradually to avoid stomach upset. In addition, the maximum daily dose should not exceed 45 mg/2550 mg.
