Actoplus Met 15 Mg/500 Mg

People who have
type 2 diabetes (other names include adult-onset or noninsulin-dependent diabetes) often find they can control this condition with Actoplus Met® (pioglitazone and metformin). This combination drug has several different effects on the body, all of which combine to help improve insulin sensitivity and keep blood sugar levels low.

The exact dose your healthcare provider recommends will depend on various factors, such as how well your diabetes is currently controlled. In general, however, the recommended starting dose is Actoplus Met 15 mg/500 mg or Actoplus Met 15 mg/850 mg, taken either once or twice a day.

If necessary, this amount can be slowly increased until the most effective dose for your situation is obtained. However, the maximum daily amount is 45 mg/2550 mg.
